Method:
- Filter our Salt solution to remove the solif salt.
- Boil off the wate rn
Equipment
- Table Salt
- Tap Water
- Bunsen Burner
- 200ml Beaker
- Safety Glasses
Experiment Procedure
- Put on Safety Glasses.
- Set up Bunsen Burner.
- Put 100ml of water into a 200ml Beaker.
- Measure 40 grams of Table Salt.
- Tip Table Salt into Beaker.
- Stir with stirring rod.
- *Observe if any undissolved salt is left at the bottom of the beaker.
- Put the beaker on the Hot Plate and heat it up.
- Stir the beaker.
- *Observe if any undissolved salt is left at the bottom of the beaker.
- Carefully remove the beaker from the Hot Plate.
Discussion
In the experiment, the cold water had more/less salt at the bottom of the beaker.
In the experiment, the hot water had more/less salt at the bottom of the beaker.
The crystals around the top of the water are…… because the water evaporated and left the salt crystals behind.

I want to separate the salt and the water that I mixed together in the last experiment.
